  1. Log into BambooHR as an Administrator
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner and select API Keys
  3. Click Add New Key, give it a descriptive name (e.g., SARAH Integration), and click Generate Key
  4. Copy the generated API key immediately — it won't be shown again
  5. Your Company Domain is the subdomain of your BambooHR URL (e.g., mycompany from mycompany.bamboohr.com)
  6. Ensure the API user has appropriate permissions to read employee data
  7. Test connection to verify the API key works correctly
